Important H1N1 Information from the AAFP
Chapters that have not already contacted their state or territorial health
departments about the expected H1N1 immunization program should do
so as soon as possible. This document represents the most recent
information received by the AAFP from the CDC. Each state and
territory will make its own decisions about how to undertake this
immunization program. In addition, Chapters may wish to go here to
view CDC Recommendation for State and Local Planning for a 2009
Novel H1N1 Influenza Vaccination Program.
The AAFP is actively engaged with the CDC on a national level. We will
have a representative at the Advisory Committee on Immunization
Practices special meeting next week at which the target groups will be
prioritized. We also have representatives that are or will be engaged in
a variety of other CDC advisory meetings on maternity care, care of
children, finance issues, etc.
The AAFP H1N1 web page is located here or can be accessed by
clicking on the H1N1 listing on the AAFP Home Page under "Clinical and
Research."
If questions for AAFP, please contact Dr. Young at hyoung@aafp.org or
