2025 FAFP Excellence in Advocacy Award
FAFP leaders were in Tallahassee on Tuesday February 4 to present Rep. Sam Garrison with the 2025 FAFP Excellence in Advocacy Award for his commitment to supporting primary care spending and family physician workforce development throughout Florida. FAFP Past President and FSU College of Medicine Dean, Dr. Alma Littles, joined by FAFP board member and resident, Dr. Del Carter (far right), and FAFP EVP, Jay Millson, personally thanked Rep. Garrison for his support of legislative appropriations that have promoted medical education loan repayment, expanding graduate medicine education, increased Medicaid reimbursement, and more. Volunteers Needed for the Doctor of the Day Program
The Florida Academy of Family Physicians (FAFP) is looking for physicians to participate in the Doctor of the Day program. The legislature needs two physicians for each day of the legislative session, one for the House of Representatives and one for the Senate.
